The Bonn Maya Dictionary project just released the "Maya Hieroglyphic Text and Image Archve", a growing digital repository that serves as a compendium for Maya hieroglyphic texts and imagery. Consider that the portal is work in progress. digitale-sammlungen.ulb.uni-bonn.de/maya @Akademienunion

In the past months we uploaded hundreds of new images of #Mayahieroglyphic texts and imagery into our open access Maya Image Archive classicmayan.kor.de.dariah.eu/#/new-media, the repository created by the @idiom_project Text Database and Dictionary of Classic Mayan project at @UniBonn.

@ancient_view Contents of handbags in Mesoamerica varied. Priests conveyed ritual items, nobles transported precious objects, artisans carried craft materials, etc. None were used to haul water, that was a different kind of container.
