Yeah, it is a father simulator. Thank you, Capcom. I'm enjoying these tiny bits with Diana. It's like teaching your child about all the good stuff they should be enjoying while they're still kids. Hugh sees Diana more as a kid than as some powerful hacking AI that could be used as a weapon of mass destruction. To him, she's his daughter, and he'll kill anyone who dares hurt her.

The lore between Rover and these characters really runs deep. Since the last two main quests, I've learned so much more about him, and it only makes him even more intriguing. He's incredibly mysterious, and I can't wait to uncover more of his story. I love how the devs are handling his character, especially his current interactions with the people he met in the past. Even though he has no memories of his former self, his natural instincts are so strong that he immediately senses how important these individuals are to him. The lengths he goes to protect them prove that, deep down, he still cares for them just as fiercely. And it's heartwarming to see how the people around him cherish and embrace this current version of Rover as well.

So far, this has been my absolute favorite quest in Wuthering Waves, and I’ve completely fallen in love with Shorekeeper. What started as a being created with a singular purpose, a tool forged for a greater mission, slowly revealed itself as someone who simply longed to be free. Free to feel, free to love, and free to stand beside the one person who made her feel truly human. The quest was an emotional journey from beginning to end. We uncovered the painful echoes of the past, the catastrophic events that scarred Solaris, and witnessed just how tirelessly Shorekeeper has worked in the shadows. She carries the weight of preventing further disasters, saving as many lives as she can, all because she believes it’s what Rover would have done. She wasn’t originally meant to shoulder this burden alone, yet her kind, compassionate soul wouldn’t allow her to stand by while others suffered, especially not Rover. Out of love and quiet devotion, she chose to bear this immense responsibility, protecting our main character and the people of Solaris at the cost of her own happiness. And that’s what makes her so moving. It all sounds so amazing until you realize that she's just a lonely girl who wishes for nothing more than simple, ordinary moments by Rover's side. She fulfills every wish Rover ever held as the protector of this world, yet you can’t help but wonder... What does she want for herself? Why does she give so selflessly? Why does she feel so deeply human in a role that tried to reduce her to something mechanical? I wanted to free her. The moment I saw her, I fell... hard. If she were truly just a tool, I wouldn’t feel this ache in my chest. But she’s not. She’s someone capable of genuine emotion, someone who seeks comfort in your arms and confesses that everything she does, she does for love. A true bird in a cage. Beautiful, powerful, yet trapped by duty and destiny. That realization hit me hard. I wanted to shatter the bars, to fight the entire broken system that forced this painful separation between her and her true desires. Protecting her smile became my purpose by the end. The climax was pure cinema! Stunning animation, heart pounding music, almost reminded me of music from Nier Automata and Stellar Blade and storytelling that sent chills down my spine. Rover felt different here, more serious, more protective. You could sense the depth of their connection, the quiet understanding that she has always been someone irreplaceably important to him. When he called her “My Shorekeeper,” my heart fluttered. It wasn’t just affection, it was recognition. A promise. This story beautifully shows how love gives us the strength to do the impossible. Shorekeeper’s love for Rover became the quiet force that let her endure centuries of solitude and unimaginable responsibility. And in turn, Rover’s strong feelings for her became the catalyst to finally set her free, to choose her happiness above the weight of the world. It’s romantic, deeply human, and so so so.... moving. For a moment, I genuinely forgot I was playing a gacha game. It felt like experiencing something real.... absolute cinema.
