Pub 3375, Rainbow Inn, Allesley, Coventry. Great pub to complete 75% of GBG. Bass immaculate. Staff even better. Outdoor loos and just a lovely old pub. Being taken over but sounds like is in safe hands. Right, let's get back to Brum via the Cov route!

The Crown Inn, Minchinhampton, #Gloucestershire 🍻 The building dates back some 300 years to 1715. For many years it was used for public meetings and assemblies before becoming a beer house. This 18th-century building has been lovingly renovated.

An historic drainage windpump from 1837 is located in a deep railway cutting adjacent to the London and Southampton Railway near Clapham Junction. It was designed to drain the "Black Sea" lake on Wandsworth Common. While listed as Grade II, it is often viewed from trains.

If you value our old fireplaces and the chimneys upon our old homes, pubs, and even factories, kindly watch and share the video below to help spark both awareness and discussion on the matter. Thank you. ⏳️🔥 🤝

The Decline of Britain's Chimneys and Fireplaces ⏳️🔥 Few stop to realise that the absolute abundance of newbuilds we see every day are lacking the chimneys and fireplaces which not only kept our ancestor's warm, but formed a very homely and familiar aesthetic. This short video alludes to the heartbreaking reality being imposed upon architecture, society, and seemingly, nature itself. As I've said before, if you disagree, please understand that those of us with this opinion are entitled to our say, especially concerning matters of preservation. I'd like to thank Seb and Steven at the wonderful Queen's Head pub (66 Acton Street, London WC1X 9NB) for kindly facilitating this video. Be it Britain's lost and living pubs, or our homes, the flickering flame has watched us strive through thick and thin for longer than it hasn't. It's bad enough seeing today's attack on architecture, but, to then tell us that something so normal should become a thing of the past is an attack on mother nature herself. Convenience is of course nice, but we should always have the option, and right to sit in front of an open fire. If you agree with what's been said here, then kindly share it to raise discussion and awareness among other like minded people. Join me here, or/and over at @Britains___Pubs to see similar content. You can also check out my upcoming tours that cover not only pubs but the extensive history surrounding them over at @PubHistoryTours. Thank you all for your viewership, and support. It really is the fuel to my fire. 🤝 All photographs taken by @VinnieSull1van Montage Music by Luke Uncaged

The Prince Albert 📍111 Bellenden Rd, London SE15 4QY Found on the ever-popular Bellenden Road in Peckham, Southeast London. Built in 1867, the pub has been owned by brewers including Charrington’s and the Notting Hill Brewery. Bellenden Road takes its name from the 7th Lord Bellenden of Broughton and, up until the mid-19th century, the area was filled with fruit gardens supplying the City of London. #princealbert #peckham

The pubs of Cartmel. Everyone gossiping about the other! Royal Oak my favourite for the Fell beers closely followed by the Priory. Not cheap. A wincing £3.15 for a half in the Cavendish.

The Victorian Penny Chute Curiosity: Located on the black railings of the House of St Barnabas, a Georgian building on the corner of the Square and Greek Street, a "penny chute" remains from the Victorian era, used by passersby to donate spare change to the charity inside.

The Sun, London Road, #Romford 🍻 There has been a Sun public house on this site at Romford since the early 17th century, although the records show a change of name (at one time it was called the Compasses).
