I’m the most Southern nigga of all time and I didn’t feel anything Southern after I got North of Richmond, VA.
I consider DC to Jersey the Mid-Atlantic region. It’s not culturally nor geographically South AT ALL.

DC is the south. This argument that DC is not the south is from ignorance. The south is not all rural and country. But everything that DC is economically and socially, the south is. DC has more in common with Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville than Philly, NYC, Newark, Boston etc
