This is a load of bullshit.
First of all, teenagers shouldn’t be playing the game in the first place, and now that they’re pushing the idea that fiction shouldn’t be allowed to explore certain topics, don’t be surprised when even more censorship follows.
Others have already pointed this out, but dragging the government into this, especially one that’s already known for strict censorship, may have done serious damage to the game’s future.
Maybe the developers will find a workaround or reach some kind of compromise, but right now I’m just angry.
And yes, everyone advocating for censorship in the name of being anti-proship is part of the problem. Censorship doesn’t stop where you think it will. Sooner or later, it affects the media and characters you enjoy too.
Or how are you going to defend the other? With the logic used against Valko, Zayne shall never get to be a doctor again because it’s “unethical” regarding the relationship we have.
Caleb should never comes back from the Deepspace Tunnel because he’d “lock us up” again & what they gonna do? Rewrite all the cards? Bet.
Just erase Rafayel’s past then, because he stalked the shit out of us.
And make Sylus disappear altogether because he’s technically a mafia boss who merciless murders left n right.
There are so many situations where accepting that fiction is fiction and these things are much broader than we they display them to be.
