Just in: The first peer reviewed study on what sort of people are adopting Bitcoin The study is by Stefano Di Domenico, PhD - a behavioral scientist from University of Toronto and is currently being finalized for publication osf.io/yntdu Findings: "Our data, drawn from a sample of Canadian retail investors suggests that Bitcoiners 1. tend to be intellectually curious and emotionally stable 2. value personal growth, relationships, community, and health over material possessions and having a “high-status” image. 3. Scored significantly higher in financial literacy than the general population"

SSI uses Taproot to effectively manage identities, utilizing OpenTimeStamps and RGB, thus avoiding the need to store identity information itself on the blockchain. This reduces costs and complexity.

Look at our #SSI design. You do not need anything onchain to declare new identity. You use sig r-value and annex of any tx with taproot input where the input owner cooperates for the revocation. That simple. You do not need to put identity creation even onchain for any reason. Even if you have, there is OpenTimeStamps and RGB for that.

Addressing questions from the community and some misunderstandings: #RGB is a protocol, which development and maintenance is done by us, a non-profit LNP/BP Standards Association. Products built on #RGB - like specific websites, exchanges, assets etc - are made by independent companies and projects. Some of them, like @bitfinex, @BitlightLabs, @pandoraprime_ch, @trydiba are or were members of the Association, supporting development of #RGB protocol by funding core dev team and with direct code contributions. Other companies, doing products on #RGB, are not members of the Association and do not contribute to the protocol development. For the #RGB release and official announcements please follow @lnp_bp. For specific products enquiries and support please contact the corresponding companies directly.
