Botkins Winter Swim

Bella Bucio places 6th in the state and has the highest finish in school history for our team! Bella is the best swimmer to ever come through Botkins’ and her presence, athleticism, and laugh will be missed for years to come! Congratulations on an amazing career! @BotkinsSchool

Bell starts off the night placing 16th overall in the 200 IM for All-Ohio Honors! @BotkinsSchool

First night of swim at state and Bella doesn’t disappoint! Qualifying for finals in both events seeded 16th in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 Back! Moving onto tomorrow for some all-Ohio honors and hardware!

The 400 free relay of Bucio, Mann,Roberts and Paul narrowly missed the school record swimming a 4:04.10! Moving from 18th place to 15th as a team! Bella Bucio also broke her 100 free school record with a new time of 54.26! What a great season for the girls @BotkinsSchool

The Girls medley relay of Bucio, Mann, Paul and Roberts crushes their previous school record going sub 2 in a competitive field with a new school record time of 1:59.88! A great way to start the day! @BotkinsSchool

Bella Bucio punches her ticket to state in the 200 IM, placing 9th in our district and seeded 15th overall for the state meet next week in Canton! 🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️ @BotkinsSchool

Boys competed well at districts today and it was all capped off by Chaise Rigney breaking his own school record with a time of 1:07.21! Great season boys! @BotkinsSchool

And to round out the weekend of sectionals our girls 400 free relay of Bucio, Mann, Paul and Roberts qualifies for districts in 18th place! A great job by both teams and we’ll see you next Friday at Miami University! @BotkinsSchool

The girls 200 Medley Relay of Bucio, Mann, Paul and Roberts breaks the old school record with a 2:02.24! Placing third in the sectional and qualifying for the district meet next week at Miami University!
