An African American woman strongly defended Ghana in a heated exchange with a group of protesters demonstrating against President John Dramani Mahama’s proposal for a UN resolution to recognize transatlantic slavery as the “gravest crime against humanity.” During the verbal altercation, one of the protesters who took the video made unsubstantiated claims that Ghana was complicit in the slave trade and portrayed the country as an unsafe destination for African Americans, alleging that discrimination remains prevalent. Yall want Black Americans to be Pan-Africans Meanwhile, South African are forcing Africans from other nations to close their businesses. Isn’t this xenophobic? Are these the people we are supposed to support and embrace? They don’t like each other.
