#Tablets With Google deciding to go full walled Garden, I am looking for alternative tablets. Unfortunately, due to an app required to log in at work I can't replace the phone. But I can replace my Galaxy Tab A8 with something better. Right now I am researching ideas. @pine64@treehouse.systems has an interesting option, and I might also seem about using their e-ink device. But not sure on Cost right now. Purism has the Librem 11, which might be a viable choice. And Fyde with their near Surface like built out system. Just me thinking on the subject.

Cowboys at a ranch in north Texas or the Texas Panhandle. This was taken by famed cowboy photographer Erwin E. Smith, a working cowboy who taught himself to take great photos and left probably the best archive we have of the way of life of the old-time cowboys. Erwin worked on several Texas ranches: the JA Ranch (Palo Duro Canyon). the Matador Ranch, the LS Ranch, the SMS Ranch, the Turkey Track Ranch etc... He was normally very good at recording exactly which ranch a given photo was taken on but this appears to be an exception. No matter. I love seeing the working horses, the ranch house, the windmill etc ... Courtesy the fabulous Erwin E. Smith repository at the @theamoncarter museum in Fort Worth, which everybody should visit.

@ichimaru_novel The original Kraft Mac and Cheese dinner always had a unique flavor to it. I have never had it in such a way that anything tastes similar. Note, I have instead of milk used Half and Half. The heavy cream in the Half and Half results in thicker sauce.

@hotcake_kun_ Spent most of my life in Texas not counting when I was in the Aor Force. San Antonio is nice, with plenty of historical sites to visit. Its also where Lackland AFB is, which unless its changed was the Air Force Basic Training base.

#Fitness #Sitrep Yeah, four day/ten hour shifts suck. Can't get to the gym in the morning when I am rested. Can barely do anything when I get off and still get home in time to get anything done beyond packing my bag for the next day. But its Friday now and I am back to normal schedule. Trying to get bits and pieces together to work on the van and the Kia. Some one time purchase stuff like Jack stands and tools. Waste oil container, shit like that. Mom thinks I should just take it in for work since then I won't be under the van. I sort of want to keep trying to DIY what I can as I go. Tried recording unedited video. Not sure I like how it turned out. Gonna keep trying. Three day weekend. Got to get everything done before Easter Sunday though. Back to regular.
