@52York @k_coby16 @stoppfeenin It definitely wasn’t controllers as the FAA is actively hiring controllers right now. The fires were low level admin people who really did nothing.

Question - do we know every firing is an actual #airtrafficcontrol person? Or are some of them administrative staff, secretaries, community relations, HR, clerks, etc? I hate to point this out - but if you’ve worked in government before, in any agency, you likely know we employ a lot of people who don’t really do anything - some by choice, some not so much. For example, I worked in an agency once that employed an entire team (about 6 people) to take dictation and produce letters/documents for staff years after everyone had a computer, field staff had laptops and we all had Internet. We were told we had to use this service - which made correspondence take twice as long to prepare. If you’re regularly calling off, not producing anything, refusing to answer your phone, planning department lunches twice a week, playing computer games, day trading etc. you might be on the block. It would be nice to know how many of these people were actually “pushing tin” so to speak.
