OAU students have begun a 72-hour lecture boycott over the school’s worsening transport crisis. After new vehicles donated by Oluremi Tinubu were rolled out for operation, students say that the new system has led to long queues, higher fares, and disruptions to movement. While management (@OAUniversity) insists that the new system is adequate, the Students’ Union is demanding urgent interventions: campusreporter.africa/oau-students-u… #OAU #StudentWelfare #CampusReporter

“At the moment, patients’ records are scattered across hospitals, pharmacies, and digital platforms. What we are building is a system that unifies all of that in a patient-centred way,” — Oladipo Daniel. With a ₦50 million grant, an EKSU student is building a digital health initiative aimed at transforming healthcare access and delivery. Gunmen attacks. Coordinated raids. Widespread violence. These claims have been circulating about #EKSU in recent days. Following a robbery incident around student hostels near the university, different unverified reports spread online, fueling misinformation and panic. However, authorities (@ekiti_uni) say the incident involved burglary and theft, not armed attacks as widely portrayed. In this report, Maryam Alli details the university’s response and confirms that a suspect has been arrested. Long queues. Double rides. Higher fares. That’s the reality for #OAU students following recent transport changes. In April, the school rolled out CNG buses and tricycles donated by Oluremi Tinubu, while restricting existing vehicles to off-campus routes. Students say the changes have increased both physical and financial strain, and are calling for urgent adjustments. @OAUniversity Read more: campusreporter.africa/cng-rollout-sp…

When attacks happen off campus, who protects students? Midnight robberies at three hostels around #EKSU left students injured and robbed, with many alleging a delayed security response. Now, some are fleeing their hostels, raising concerns about weak security systems and a lack of clear accountability for student safety. By April 1, OAU students could face a transport crisis. Here’s why: The school plans to commence usage of the 50 CNG buses and 30 tricycles donated by Oluremi Tinubu, while phasing out 150 ‘Town-gboro’ buses and about 250 bikes that currently move students daily. Students fear this shift could reduce access and widen the capacity gap. Read the full story 👇 campusreporter.africa/new-wheels-new…
