This sounds wonderful in theory but the delayed gastric emptying is not my cup of tea. I have struggled with gastroparesis and it’s AWFUL. Having your stomach take FOREVER to process food is nauseating, painful and all around awful. I’m glad that you have gotten some relief from the desire to drink but man oh man, I couldn’t do this to myself. I would rather drink then go through another gastroparesis flare up. Good luck to you though.

I struggled through two years sober. I did AA, built sober community, even wrote about the experience—& relapsed. alcoholism is an insidious disease. a serial killer. I just hit thirty days sober after starting a GLP-1. I have zero desire to drink. this drug will save lives.

Even though there are highs and lows in OG Dexter, it’s still one of the best shows to ever grace TV. Period! The character development…. The loss. All of it was so well done and I still rate it as my number one TV show. Have you ever watched Six Feet Under? It’s my second favorite show of all time and yet again Michael C. Hall is a main character. It’s a much different show but VERY well done and the series finale makes me cry so damn hard EVERY time I rewatch it.
