You can never convince me sacking Pochettino for Enzo Maresca didn’t set Chelsea back at least two seasons. Even his biggest hater can see the high octane football we played often. The attack was burning on every cylinder, just needed more reinforcements in defense and midfield but we got rid of him 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Chelsea are blessed in attack. Why? Palmer, Estevao, Joao Pedro (when on it), Jackson (if he stays) etc are some of the smartest off-ball movers but for some reason don’t get the credit for it because they’re also technical. For some reason it only counts if you’re a “runner” who’s deemed shit on the ball. They all have that in their locker. An attack where virtually everyone is an on ball/off ball player situationally is the paradise waiting for us if we’re smart. Elite technical floor and capacity for combinations others could never dream of. That would make us special & play to “our” strengths. Not some regurgitated/robotic/monolithic idea on here of what an attack must be. Again to some extent in our own way similar to PSG (unsurprisingly the best attack in Europe).

Ndiaye, Palmer, Estevao, Joao Pedro. For the first time in years, I want you to imagine a CFC game where every attacker’s touch is perfect (e.g. PSG). Everyone is technical. Everyone makes you stand up as a fan. Everyone a baller. Perfect passing moves with no breakdown etc

@iamrahmanosman Nothing new. African teams have always struggled with creating and scoring goals. AFCON match-day results are always like binary codes (1/0)

10 African teams at the World Cup and not a single one managed more than 1 goal in their opening match - 7 goals in total in the opening round across the 10 teams. The defensive discipline and tactical setups have been incredible (holding Brazil, Spain, Belgium), but the final third execution is completely missing. Can someone explain why African teams are facing a collective blackout in front of goal at the World Cup?

At The Bridge Pod ⭐️⭐️
Xabi Alonso would like either Arda Güler or Eduardo Camavinga to be able to enter the operation despite the fact that Chelsea prefers to raise money. (@SPORT)

Jackson at CF can be a fun backup/alternative CF if you surround him with elite scorers. E.g: —Nico to make things stick in the final third —JP inside LW, Palmer #10, Estevao RW is a fun alternative to try in certain games (transitional) next season.

It does not matter which defender it is. Nicolas Jackson will dominate you on the ground whether it’s balls in the channel that he can chase, dropping to turn you / link up play and creating separation for actions. He’s consistently done this against the best in the PL. His limitations are obvious, but what he’s good at he’s world class at.

Almost 12 months on from not getting on in the Club World Cup final win over PSG, Nicolas Jackson returned to the New York New Jersey Stadium with the bit between his teeth last night. Big decision ahead for #CFC and Xabi Alonso 🔵👇 football.london/chelsea-fc/tra…

Nicolas Jackson’s first half performance vs France has outdone Delap’s entire Chelsea career. It’s not a debate who should be sold at this point

@Nino12x Its called playing in a midfield 3. Enzo is just not good in a pivot but in a midfield 3 he is class.
