China on Wednesday put into operation the world’s largest single production line for electronic-grade glass fiber in east China’s Jiangsu Province. With an annual output of 100,000 tonnes of electronic-grade glass fiber, the production line can also produce 390 million meters of electronic glass cloth a year, accounting for approximately 9% of the global market.
The products coming out of the facility are destined for new energy vehicles, photovoltaics and the low-altitude economy, and are expected to boost China’s self-sufficiency in high-end electronic base materials.
