I echo this. Paul is a tremendous guy, coach , & a proven winner. He didn’t work the immediate miracles the USC fans/ Admin. wanted but parting ways with him after 1+ Yrs & playing 4 of the 30 SEC games is unfair after losing to national powerhouses UF & Ark! @ESPNMcGee

I hate to see Paul Mainieri's time at South Carolina end the way it did because I've always liked him so much. The classiest of class acts and a hall of famer by any measure. But I'm also glad that's over. That was hard to watch.

Next WBC should be managed by a former MLB MGR. IE: Giradi, Bochy, Snitker, Ross, Gonzalez, Baldelli, Showalter, Hyde, Melvin, and many others who will be out of baseball when the next WBC happens in ‘29.

Great coach, great man, and a special friend. Over 50 years ago Coach recruited me when he was at Georgia Southern. My Dad wanted me to commit to G.S. after our Statesboro trip but I fell in love with Coach Whatley/UGA which became my best decision ever! @BaseballUGA

I hear Greg but don’t understand why Anti Trust status can’t be applied & rules returned to avoid law suites. 1. Eliminate all collectives 2. 5 Yrs. to complete 4 year playing time. 3. 1 time transfer before sitting out a year. 4. Max NIL $/player 5. NCAA enforcement again. @SEC

Pretty simple to me! One time transfer. Second time the player must sit out a year. 5 years to complete 4 years of undergraduate eligibility. If the head coach leaves players can transfer without penalty. Graduate school has no application or is given additional time. @SEC @NCAA
