Well, this is my official retirement post: As always, it's never been about me; it's about the players. So, I chose this moment—when it truly matters—to share everything on my mind. It breaks my heart to read these LFT posts from the IGNITE team. This team was built around the concept of what a long-term project should look like. We started from nothing, yet we proved that it’s possible to create a professional environment for talented players with a clear identity, making our way step-by-step to the top. Every step was part of the plan, and I still have the first email outlining our objectives. We nailed it, except for the world championship qualification in this third split. We were so close, but resources… resources… Trust, belief, and a lot of care and friendship made this journey possible. This story should demonstrate that the backbone of IGNITE’s success was in believing in one another through a shared vision. Every player mattered equally, and we maintained our human connections through all the tough times, always respecting the rules we’d agreed upon. Once a rule was broken and not mended, we couldn’t go on. It was as simple as that. It pains me because we’ve built a home, a family, and now they’re leaving to embark on new paths. But that’s life, right? You grow up and eventually leave home to explore new adventures. I wish them all the best and hope that another team will embrace our mojo, refine our model, and IGNITE the scene, just as we surprised everyone by being among the top every split with our limited resources. I love IGNITE, and it will forever live in my heart. This message marks my competitive retirement as I shift towards a different role in supporting the scene. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes on something new, and it’s taking longer than expected, but we’re getting closer. Once it’s ready, I’ll share even the smallest details with you very soon. A little bit about me… Actually, not really about me—I want to thank every player I’ve coached since my first day in VALORANT. I won’t go into my League of Legends days because only a few in this community know about them. But I want to express my gratitude in a special way: I plan to share memories or lessons I learned from each of these players. They built who I am today. Coaches don’t just shape players; players also shape who we are as coaches.
