Local communities from Texas to New York to Indiana to Kentucky and beyond have all raised the alarm. Bitcoin mining is immensely dirty and harms local communities. It's time to listen to them.

Bitcoin is likely consuming 2200 GL of water in 2023. The traditional financial system (bank notes, bank branches, ATMs, cashless transactions) combined consumes close to 1800 GL of water a year. There's no good reason for this amount of waste. greenpeace.org/usa/unveiling-…
