At some point every one of us will get to be the person pointing the phone - when our town floods or burns, or our community cracks apart as the food starts to run out.

I just looked out the window and noticed a buck putting on a masterclass in camouflage.
Not a bad time to share our Helene damage as well. The tops of these trees hit our roof and siding, but we were lucky to not sustain any major interior damage.

Well said! Beware accounts that overuse hyperbole in the wake of Helene.
There are some folks taking advantage of WNC’s misfortune to push their own agenda or boost their engagement.
Any account that overuses 🚨 BREAKING should be viewed with a great deal of skepticism.
