I was asked today who the most inspirational person I’ve discussed on the podcast. Dr John Langdon Down (1828-1896). He was centuries ahead of his time with respect & compassion. He changed the lives of hundreds of children. Episode 13 Survivable Triplicates or look him up.

Pathology is humbling. It’s the ultimate contradiction. The more I study, the less I know.

I love pathology history. As an AP Registrar working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, I managed to get the first ever Pathology report written in August 1916 (de-identified - out of habit). The surprising twist: it’s possibly a misdiagnosis. #pathology
