@anymanfitness Not true. Varsity 6A coach and several guys on our varsity don’t play AAU. We have a 1st Team All District kid getting ready to commit who never played a minute of AAU. All that matters is are you hooping. I’d rather a kid play grown men at the Y then play for a bad AAU team.

Bad news, dude: If your kid doesn’t play travel/AAU they have no chance of playing varsity in high school. Only exceptions would be small, rural schools without many players to choose from. Any decent sized high school, every kid on varsity plays travel.
