@buss_patriarchy @DGlaucomflecken People used to ask me how could I tolerate the sadness of being a #PICU doc. Yes. Sometimes I cried. But always focused on the good I could do for the kids or for their fam. Even in death I could do SOMETHING good. And most didn’t die.

@DGlaucomflecken Ok question for the pediatricians seeing this: do you get sad abt the kids being sick? I’ve been to a kids hospital only once (for an MRI as an adult bc earlier appt) & the sad kids in the waiting room had me in tears Like obvs y’all help them but it looks so emotionally hard

3 different well visits today. All 3 refused #FluVaccine because of a new theory that COVID vaccine is being packaged and given as flu vaccine without consent. I was unable to persuade them that this was simply not true. What fresh new pediatrician hell is this? #VaccinesWork

How are you doing? Are you taking care of yourself? This is not the time to let down your guard against the virus. It’s still there and the danger is real.

@SapnaKmd @TinyDancerOne11 Yes indeed. And it was my honor to have played a small part in the development of that vaccine. Epiglottitis has never been seen by most of the currently working docs. I don’t know a single parent who lost a child to HiB who would have refused the vaccine
