When choosing the number of contracts to use for a particular trade, don't base it on how much you want to make. Base it on how much you want to lose.

Are @Topstep payouts speeding up? For my previous 3 payouts, it took 2 days to get the "Risk Approved" checked off. This time, it got approved immediately. 🤔

They keep pushing this Rapid plan like it’s something noble, but there is nothing noble about giving traders EOD drawdown during the eval and then switching it to Intraday when funded. No thanks.

The difference between a negative R:R/high win rate strategy vs. high R:R/low win rate strategy: Negative R:R/High Win Rate: - You go into every trade expecting it to win - You have the confidence to dig yourself out of any DD through one small winner at a time through disciplined execution - Streaks of 9-10 winners in a row are very frequent High R:R/Low Win Rate: - You expect every trade to lose - "Dang, 8th loss in a row, does this strategy actually work?" - "Maybe this one will be my 1:10 R:R golden ticket..." Since switching to a Negative R:R/High Win Rate strategy, my payouts have increased both in frequency and in their amount.

Another perfect scalping session on my @Topstep XFA this morning. 5 trades, 5 winners. Getting ready to request my largest payout of 2026 so far. 🫡

Agreed, I remember Boris (creator of Claude Code) saying something similar. People think that using cheaper models are cheaper until they realize it’s taking many times longer and more token usage than a more advanced model that can often get you 95% of the way there with one shot.

I think I will go back to my Gemini 3.1 Pro for planning and bug fixes, Gemini 3 Flash for implementation. It's not worth my time and energy. Yet.

Yep, that's how my system is designed, on purpose. The measures I have in place is that I trust the results of the system I've spent the last 2+ years building for myself. So far on this account, I have a 5+ week track record of consistent profits, and I'm about to take my 4th payout on it. Payouts are all I care about for these prop accounts, money hitting the bank.

@CoderAndTrader Your win rate is definitely impressive, but risking an average of $952 to make $143 does not seem like a very sustainable approach. A streak of consecutive losses could wipe out the account. Do you have any protection measures in place for that kind of scenario?

Another epic scalping session this morning using my Zone Sniper indicator and strategy, this time on both NQ and GC! 26 winners, 2 losers. Continuing to live that negative R:R life for the past 6 weeks, taking payouts along the way.

Once again, these were not random orders and trades. All of them had predefined entry/exit prices, to the exact tick.

These are not random trades. Every single one of these are part of my own trading system, each with their own predetermined entry/exit prices, down to the exact tick. No market executions, stop/limit orders only.

Another successful scalping session this morning, 100% WR, 11 trades, 11 winners. Just 3-5 Micros each. This is as close to a "perfect game" as I can get in trading.

I have to say, when it comes to trading tools and dashboards, TFD wins the award for the most polished experience. And it's not even remotely close. As a web developer myself, love what they're doing over there in the trader dashboard and back-end side of things. 👌
