Yeat Saved my Life…. - Hi, I’m currently 20 and deal with severe depression and anxiety. Even though medication I haven’t been able to keep my life straight. After losing my partner a month ago after 8 years of being close and dating. I purposely overdosed because there was no reason to be here. I don’t have friends. I only had her. So I wanted to leave. After taking a ridiculous amount of my medication I looked up what would actually happen. Seizures, death, organ failure. I learnt this after I took all those pills. I realised I fucked up. Although I wasn’t mad. I got my AirPods and listened to Yeat. Who for years I’ve been enjoying listening to. I layed down and just listened to Yeat for hours. Eventually falling asleep. Hoping to not wake up. I woke up 3 hours later to Yeat still playing. Nothing had happened. I didn’t feel sick or anything. I took over 8x the maximum limit for my medication. I now think Yeat saved my life. When I don’t listen to him I feel lonely. Although it could be a coincidence, I think it’s not. Yeat saved my life in my mind. I shouldn’t be here or at the least been in hospital. But I was perfectly fine. Thank you Noah Smith (Yeat) for saving my life ❤️🥺🥲
