After my grandparents passed, I was told our family home was going to be sold
It was devastating, but I buried myself in work to try to make things work

On the topic of endings, what I've particularly enjoyed is how a Gundam tends to end: that final moment of catharsis, as the protagonist is laid bare in space, their MS stripped away or barely functioning, but not alone as the people they've protected are awaiting their return.
