lol you'll never convince ppl to take mass transit in USA until you kick all the homeless out of it including from occupying the stations and bus stops You can have a transit system or a homeless shelter but not both Literally just one experience taking the train in Austin and I'm never doing this again. I took train almost everyday in Tokyo with 0 issues, here it's like walking dead with homeless everywhere it's disgusting and feels gross and unsafe

I find that fascinating - it's always great to hear their stories and first-hand memories from that era. I couldn't care less about Claude Code's source being leaked on npm. What terrifies me is that it's 512,000 lines of TypeScript code. HALF A MILLION lines of code for what's essentially a glorified API wrapper. I think the crucial point in our reality when we took the wrong turn was the invention of JavaScript. And we cemented our path to doom with the invention of TypeScript. Half a million lines of code. Dear Lord, have mercy on us.

Jeremiah is exactly correct, the Ark of the covenant isn't sitting in a monastery somewhere being guarded by monks. The Jewish Talmud says it was never returned after the Babylonian exile in late 6th century BC; Maimonides says that it could be buried in tunnels Solomon made under the temple mount; 2nd Macc. 2 says Jeremiah hid it at Mt. Nebo; Samaritan tradition says it was buried in Mt. Garizim. And let's be honest, even if it was in an Orthodox Tewahedo church in Ethiopia (which I'm pretty confident it isn't), it wouldn't matter. The Ark was meant to point to and is fully fulfilled in Jesus. If it still physically exists it holds no power or authority than any other ancient box.

🚨BREAKING: 3I/ATLAS TRAJECTORY CHANGED Today, while everyone is distracted with the lead up to the launch of Artemis II, NASA quietly released new ephemeris data for 3I/ATLAS (JPL 69). If this data is correct, based on observations from 3/21, 3I/ATLAS successfully executed a slingshot maneuver around Jupiter and is now rapidly approaching the inner solar system, reaching the asteroid belt by 4/20. According to the data, the object - now likely to be classified as artificial - slowed from a velocity of nearly 69km/s relative to Jupiter, to a velocity of ~4.20km/s in less than 24 hours in order to complete the maneuver. Which is crazy above all because we still don't know what causes a total sudden blackout in impressions while other accounts post the same contents minutes after you and get the impressions you lost. No apparent rule violation, nothing: at least not communicated. Only one unexplained blackout.

I think it's part of freedom of speech, so I'll keep on talking about this. This account has been heavily deboosted in the last 2 weeks, and it's touching its lowest levels of performances: but tomorrow it may be even worse, given the chart, which means disappearing. I don't know if this has a reason, since the same contents are exchanged and posted between accounts and getting enormous performances, if compared to mine. I understand all the algorithm modifications: I totally don't understand why some accounts can still and always thrive whatever these modifications are and with the same exact materials I share and sometimes find first. This is a message to say that, I'm trying to go on, but it's not granted. Physical issues are making everything a lot more difficult and I'm still a human, operating alone. I hope indications can be provided, or maybe checks conducted to understand why the performance indicators have such a descending pattern, when, again, accounts post the exact same materials with totally different outcome.

Hey I'm visiting Austin from Japan, I tried to take the train today to go have bbq bc it was rush hour. Here are my observations: 1) train from downtown to crestview was clean and felt safe, office people commuting, was able to buy a ticket on the train easily 2) get out at crestview and it's like the walking dead, fent zombies passed out everywhere, homeless all over the station, disgusting and unsafe. To walk the 10 minutes to bbq place there's also homeless occupying every bus stop just passed out or hanging out, nowhere to sit for normal ppl who would want to take transit. They try to talk to you, F off 3) on way back i'm only one apart from homeless at the station so I feel even more unsafe, always watching over my shoulder until train arrives. Homeless occupy the seats so don't feel comfortable sitting 4) on train I can't even buy ticket, conductor says only senior conductors have tap to pay like wtf??? Until Austin removes homeless from occupying all the stations and public spaces of transit you'll never convince normal ppl to take it. You have to decide if you want a transit system or a moving homeless shelter, pick one

About 1% of Austin commuters bike to work. About 75% drive. The city's response is a new downtown transportation plan -- estimated at up to $1.1 billion -- that reduces car lanes further.
