Anyway, great movie 4/5. Weird romance though, didn’t appreciate it. Not libertarian enough to enjoy that part. I watched this because @Shaynagram told me to read The Night Circus, and the plot seemed similar. Her recommendation probably has real magic though. Thanks Shayna!

Maybe I’m too far removed from 1953, but because there is a discourse about age differences right now given Keanu and Alexandra Grant, I think it’s relevant to mention that just half a century ago, it was totally acceptable for grown men to pine for 16-year-olds.

Given no one cares if I start talking about movies, the reason I made the poll was because I wanted to talk about Lili (1953), about a girl who is tricked and lied to and on the edge of the cliff, when she’s saved by puppets and a puppeteer who falls in love with her. But... 1/2

@wgervais Oh they’re definitely going to pull a Kemp w/ a red Sec of State. I just think the odds are already low in a perfectly fair election as is.

@wgervais I’m not convinced McGrath has a chance against McConnell, even on a strong blue year. He has a p good approval rating in Kentucky, and McGrath’s record is not strong for an exciting left turnout.
