@JohnnyVenerable I think a lot of this unfortunately has to do with injuries. Darius, Ojulari, Garrett Williams, Benson, Nolen, Melton, etc were all top 100 (mostly all 1st and 2nd round) picks that have missed big chunks of time due to injury. And MHJ hasn’t been who everyone thought yet either

Nothing against you, there’s just reasons we don’t know on the outside. When the difference between what was expected and what happened is this large, gotta trust them

@senorjessroot Offers for $4M or less most likely. Technically $3.25M or whatever it was. But again, to my other point, we on the outside have no clue. I’m not just trusting AZ, I’m trusting 31 teams (lol) By the way, I’m not a fan of Wilkinson and made that clear when we signed him.

Utah OL Spencer Fano’s arms measured 32 7/8 just now at his pro day, up from 32 1/8 at the Combine. Another indication that, for whatever reason, the measurements in Indy were short for a number of prospects. That’s a big 3/4 inch difference for Fano.

Love betting lines on who teams will draft as if anyone betting knows what teams are thinking. Cardinals "favorite" to pick QB Ty Simpson. Means little. Cardinals might like a different QB more. Would be great to know how much total money people have lost making bets like this.

@HBalzer721 I agree with you, but the examples you give support waiting because more options and good players might become clear next season like those guys did. The argument against it is that any of the current top rated QBs could get injured or underperform, which is why you don’t wait

It's folly to have attitude that teams should wait for 2027 draft to take a QB as if anyone truly knows what will happen in the next year. Was Fernando Mendoza on anyone's radar last year at this time? Where were Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye in the discussion in March, 2024?

@blakemurphy7 Yeah but you said they’d be surprised because of our QB situation. Everyone knows our QB situation is terrible, nobody will be surprised to see that’s the reason why we lose. We have two backups fighting for the starting spot, and the favorite to start went 1-11 last year.

I think people will be surprised with the Arizona Cardinals this season, but for two different reasons The first is that people will be surprised at how many games they lose because they simply don’t have a starting quarterback capable of winning games. The second is people will be surprised at them being better than last year overall even if the win total doesn’t show it.
