Attending my first ever @CritHealthPsych conference #ISCHP2025 @uniofgalway was unforgettable. It was an academic, emotional, and personal experience that made me reflect deeply on psychology, justice, and community. A thread 🧵👇 #PhDLife

1️⃣ How far we’ve come—and how far we need to go. I was in awe of the critical work on abortion, Indigenous rights, LGBTQIA+ health, & more. Psychology was used to liberate—not just observe. But we must still do better at centering lived experiences. #ISCHP2025

3️⃣ Finding my academic home. As a qualitative researcher, I’m used to defending my work in a positivist space. But here? No need to explain. No need to translate. I found a community who spoke my language. I felt seen. #QueerScholarship #LGBTQIA
