@DesheShai You're a great researcher. I'm sure you'll find your own path, one that will be better than the one with Kaspa. And it's good that you're not sacrificing your integrity for money. You're doing everything right. I wish you the best of luck (Cryptis).

Whenever I'm asked if I will ever consider rejoining Kaspa core, I respond that I can't work with people I can't trust. Maybe I should clarify what I mean by that with an example. During the last year or so, there have been three contenders for programmability on Kaspa: Kasplex's ZKEVM, Igra, and Kaspa core's vProgs. The two people leading the core, Michael and Yonatan, spoke very openly about their disagreement with Igra, to the extent of pontificating on marginal details while blowing them out of proportion, or presenting their own narrative and perspective as a factual truth that is derived from science. On the other hand, when Kasplex refused to reveal any details about how their protocol works, made inconsistent and evasive statements, even libelous accusations, when Kurve set up a bridge with 1.5% withdrawal fee, deliberately burying this detail in fine print, effectively robbing the community? Not a peep. Why? Probably a mixture of personal vendetta (there is a clear correlation between Yonatan badmouthing Igra and rumors of my involvement), and subjugation (core avoids talking about Kasplex because they rely on KEF money). Whatever is going on there behind closed doors, I want the protocol to be very clear that I had nothing to do with it when it all comes crashing down. My decision might have cost me some money and status, but it's a small price to pay to know I'm not involved with a crew that, in its silence, allows the exploitation of the community I helped cultivate. Obviously, there are a lot more personal and professional aspects to this rift, including things I am not at liberty to discuss (though I am ever increasingly tempted to blow the whistle on some of them). But that's the gist of it. The tech is still awesome, and most of core are talented, driven people with good intentions, so I'm not throwing the towel on the entire thing just yet. But I hope things will change for the better soon, because the more desperate KEF gets, the more people who criticize them they manage to bully and scare away, the more egregious they will become in their schemes to wrench Kaspa from the hands of uninformed customers. And you cannot expect anyone from core to protect you without risking losing resources they depend on. I'm so glad I'm not in their position.

Thank you for the announcement! Could you please clarify the following: Is the new V3 version compatible with previous software versions? What are the system requirements for installation and stable operation (operating system, RAM, disk space)? Is any special mining equipment required, or will a regular PC suffice?

@VaultMoth2lbg Older versions of the software can always be easily overwritten by newer versions.

@VaultMoth2lbg You can mine using just your CPU. You can also mine using your GPU. The better the hardware, the more efficient the mining. But you can participate even with just a single-core CPU, including mining.

@VaultMoth2lbg To start the software, you need 50MB of RAM and 1% of one CPU core. So, in the end, you don't need anything else. Disk space is 500MB, so the download size -> is portable. The rest depends on what you plan to do. Mining, your own node. Each of these things requires resources.
