His sister is rude & mean, but you can tell they're close bc of the first scene of the episode. Its on character that she'd be a bit crude in showing she cares. When their mom tells her to get nakamura she knew it would just make him feel awkward since he was crying his eyes out

I like to think they cared in a way, you can tell his mom was worried but his sister knew he would want to be left alone
they just can't give him the comfort that he needed/wanted
