What an incredibly dishonest take. Wuchang and Stellar Blade are original IPs with no established protagonist. That's why there's no problem. Ghost of Yotei and God of War are sequels to established IPs where fans, correct or not, are upset that an established male protagonist is being replaced by a woman in what seems to be a move that is agenda and quota-driven. Reminder, Expedition 33's story (another original IP) centers around a woman and is the highest rated game of all-time, as well as winning the most awards ever. I strongly suspect you didn't mention Gears of War and Wolfenstein doing the same thing, despite those female replacements being considered conventionally attractive (for the most part), because you knew it would destroy your line of argumentation and exposed the glaring hole in your logic.
