Dr. Salah Ali Hassan, CTO of Salaam Bank Limited Uganda, said technology progress must be based on responsibility, integrity, and data protection, noting that 95% of data risks come from inside organizations, highlighting the need for staff awareness and strong ethics.

Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Communication, Ahmed Osman Dirie, opened National Data Privacy Week and announced the registration of all institutions handling personal data. He stressed compliance with the 2023 Data Protection Law LR005.
