Yoru took over the spotlight and while I feel there was a narrative reason for that, it sucks that Asa was barely around in the last half of Part 2 when we should've been seeing her perspective. Yoru is great too, but you need that balance for Asa/Yoru to truly work.

@DPlexHD I think one thing the manga couldn't sell that the anime could improve tenfold is how apocalyptic everything gradually gets. Gonna be much easier to accept this is the bad ending if the vibe is sold harder

I'm not speaking on the later half of Part 2 even if I think it'll happen to an extent, but the Church Arc will absolutely have a reevaluation when it's animated. genuinely one of the best arcs in the series, in my opinion.

@DPlexHD @Cynjet I think I read somewhere that Fujimoto himself was pretty involved in the making of csm s1, so if he can pace the ending better with a few tweaks I think it'll be received a lot better

@Cynjet it's when we get to War Devil and the ending where they'll really have to lock in, to which I think it'll still get it's reevaluation too, but not in a massive way like Church or even Aging will. but I do imagine they'll add better pacing and tie things together better

this was the point of no return for Denji, it set the stage for his downfall and he threw everything away just to get that sweet taste of being Chainsaw Man. it's like an addict relapsing, and it was heartbreaking to read when it was coming out.
