I think Japan BL has developed to the point where there are now many works that are quite close to reality. But even those realistic works get criticized by some people —for example, Nakamura is being attacked by some in Japan simply because it was created by a heterosexual woman

@QuantumSpark19 @Alxvenji That's why the gay community in Japan doesn't hype up Yaoi, Yaoi in itself is fanservice for women who don't want to see themselves in romances. There are written works created by gay people but they're very different from Yaoi. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

so much queer people are caught up in deeming micro labels invaild because it makes the community unserious and invaild to homophobic people, i think it honestly says alot about how you let homophobic people dictate your actions in your own community. they will always hate us.
