1. Night of the Demons (1988) 4k. I have friends who do year long watch threads and always wanted to try it, so starting off with my first disc of the year to see how many days I can manage. (I started the movie on Jan 1st but realized I could do this slightly after midnight 😆)

@_jokeocracy Uh… the affair was a small part of the book, dont overdo it. And it set uo conflict between brody and hopper which was necessary for all three on the boat to be at odds with each other and then face the shark as a common enemy. Also not a childrens book.

i read the novel of Jaws when I was like 10 years old and it's barely about a shark. it's a novel about an adulterous sex triangle between the sheriff, his wife, and the marine biologist and it has a lot of gratuitous graphic sex scenes. i just wanted to read the shark book :(

The dynamic between Rusty and Jr is so fun. You got Jonas Jr who looks up to their father and treats him as this massive noble man, when he never knew him personally like Rusty did, who actually experienced how psychotic and awful their dad could actually be.
