Today was an important day for the Bariatric Surgery service in SVUH. Finally opened our dedicated Bariatric Theatre, and performed our 100th bariatric surgery for 2023. Approaching 1000 cases across SVHG very soon😊. Thanks to all involved @svuh, @StColumcillesH1 @OSheaHoganLab

@mickwhughes I think it is a great idea for physiotherapist, EPs and all allied HCPs to visit the operating theatres. It really provides a fantastic insight into what the patient undergoes. To complete the cycle of care, I believe we as surgeons we should visit you guys in action as well!

Reflections from the Operating Room This week I've had the wonderful opportunity to observe multiple knee surgeries from 3 different orthopaedic surgeons including 1x ACLR (patella tendon + LET), 2x TKRs, 1x partial TKR and 4x partial meniscectomies. 🧵
