The House of Representatives approved the anti-dynasty bill version filed by Speaker Faustino Dy and Majority Leader and presidential son, Sandro Marcos. The bill, according to our analysis, is the weakest and most inferior among all anti-dynasty proposals in the Lower House.

Over 2 million Filipinos were based in the Middle East as of June 2024, latest data from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas showed. Broken down, over 35% of Filipinos in the region were located in Saudi Arabia, while over 30% were in the UAE.
