👇research pushing back the timing of modern humans into Mainland Southeast Asia (between 86—68ka!). Led by @Indi750, with contributions from @SuSaMiGroup members from @FLINArchaeology @Flinders Microarchaeology Laboratory @MikeGeoarch @ingatkatandaan &Meghan McAllister-Hayward!

New month new post! #DidYouKnow that high-resolution analyses such as soil micromorphology and lipid biomarkers, when coupled together, help investigate #SiteFormation #HumanBehavior #Paleoenvironment and #AncientDiet? Check our website and find out more👇 wp.ull.es/ambilab/the-la…

My fantastic colleague Meghan McAllister presenting key results of her investigations on the preservation of biomarkers in Tam Pa Ling as part of the @Disperscapes project led by @MikeGeoarch. Well done Meghan!

Great talk by Meghan McAllister presenting at the #AEIC2022 on Tam Pa Ling palaeo environment. @Disperscapes @MikeGeoarch

Thanks for capturing this moment @palaeophd! Yes, done and dusted this presentation at the @ippa2022. It was a great session. I certainly picked up points to include in the PhD, so thank you to @Flinders and the @Disperscapes project for funding my participation here! #WorthIt!

I have been very fortunate to work and publish with Nobel Prize winner Svante Pääbo. Some of the early ideas for our paper in @PNASNews this year on the #microstratigraphic context of aDNA came from a chat with Svante about a potential combined #geoarchaeology & #aDNA study

Check out our new paper reporting a tooth we found in a cave in Laos that we believe belonged to a Denisovan! We have #microstratigraphic context too! A Middle Pleistocene Denisovan molar from the Annamite Chain of northern Laos | Nature Communications nature.com/articles/s4146…

Hi micromorphologists out there🤗We have published this. Feel free to use our template or share and publish your own 🔬 We are excited to see your templates and protocols and learn together! @geoarchlab #thinsection #micromorphology #geoarchaeology doi.org/10.1016/j.mex.…
