@E0_DS0_Omega @johnrich Do you even know how to work on cars? Do you know how EASY it is to work on a 1950/60's motor, how FAST it is to replace parts like alternator, ac compressor, hell even a clutch! Compared to today's vehicle where the computer locks you out even getting codes

The first auto brand to make a pickup with ZERO TECH will sell out so fast it'll make their head spin. No brain, no GPS...just engine, transmission, rear end, and get the hell outta my way:)

@johnrich The only people that want this are already driving a 1999 S10 and can't afford the modern equivalent anyways, and if they could they wouldn't buy it if they test drove anything modern that isn't dogshit.

@ChoochSkookum I think far less of other men who have no concept of how things are made. A man that can't visualize the supply chains and processes behind like pouring a driveway is the male equivalent of the woman that says don't hunt just buy meat at the grocery store.

Is it true that if a man doesn't know how to make or fix anything other men think less of him?

@EJGorman_Author @ThrillaRilla369 BTW, its trades that destroy your body less. 20 years doing gen construction, had a lil back hurty now and then. 1 year doing retail and I got shin splints and bone spurs in my fucking ankle from standing in place all day because people think you dont deserve to sit down.

@EJGorman_Author @ThrillaRilla369 Not everybody can be a fucking electrician James. We need shelf stockers, janitors, ditch diggers and cashiers for the world to run. Ive done trades and retail, both take the same amount of effort and skill to excel. One destroys your knees and back a little less.

Yes, a cashier at Walmart or a delivery driver at Amazon should be able to afford rent, groceries, and bills with their paycheck alone. That is exactly what jobs are for.

@Willadeanwhy @ThrillaRilla369 It's not about skill. Its about time and labor. 8 hours a day, on your feet, providing service to people should afford a livable wage, period. Not grandiose. Just livable. 98 civic, elec+water, a safe place to sleep. That's not a big ask. All FT jobs deserve a livable wage.

Just where does the demarcation point where entry level ends and living wage begin? Fast food worker- entry level? Cashier (a job that no longer requires a skill other than pushing products past a scanner) living wage. The person flipping burgers actually has more responsibility, (food safety, technical skill as to griddle, time and procedure) that entry level worker has the health and welfare of his customers to protect, the cashier pushes items over a scanner. The job descriptions have blurred and blended over the years. Again I ask, where does entry level end and living wage begin?

@ThrillaRilla369 No A cashier at Walmart shouldn’t Because the job they are doing creates no value whatsoever It is not even a necessary job because we can scan our own groceries at Walmart

@ThrillaRilla369 I kind of thought those were jobs you get when just out of high-school, to give you practice for future careers on showing up on time and every day.

@DarrinB3706 @ThrillaRilla369 >dont pay a livable basic ass wage to cashiers, stockers, etc >walk in store >one checkout lane open, 30 SCO's watched by one person >shelves never fully stocked >store always dirty >employees and customers always shitty and sad

@ThrillaRilla369 No or low skill jobs will be paid by their respective responsibilities. A cashier job will all be a minimum wage job. Minimum wage doesn’t equal living wage. What people need is assistance in getting the skills to get a higher pay job to afford a better lifestyle

@ThrillaRilla369 I hear you but my 16 year old makes 22 an hour driving a little kids train around because every job around here raised with the minimum wage. Good for him but that train ride went from 4.50 to 10 bucks. My other kid makes 19 washing dishes guess how much a sandwich costs there

The midwest has infinitely better food, lower cost of living, and nicer people than the coast cities. People in New York and LA pay $4,000 a month to live in a shoebox surrounded by trash and noise. Meanwhile, you can get a beautiful four-bedroom house in Ohio or Indiana for a fraction of that price. Coastal elitism is a joke because your quality of life is actually miserable compared to middle America. Stop pretending that living near an expensive beach makes up for being permanently broke.

@gregs10206 @BamaSaltyMarine Not to mention whole chicken would be cheaper AND more nutritious as you can broth out the carcass. Soy is an allergen and just straight up bad for you in quantity. Sweet corn and rice are nothing but carbs. The micro profile of your plan here is abysmal and scurvy-prone.

@Ditchmelon @BamaSaltyMarine No. They should be issued nutritionally sound food. That should be the only criteria. Chicken Thighs (Bone-in, Skin-on)Sweet Corn (Kernels)Edamame (Whole Soybeans, shelled)Long-Grain Rice and water. No change. The same thing for every meal, for every day.

If MREs are good enough for our troops, why not for welfare? What if EBT was replaced with monthly MRE deliveries, 8 cases per person. No misuse. No luxury. Just food. Needs met. Problem solved!

@gregs10206 @BamaSaltyMarine That's retarded, not nutritionally sound, and impossible to prepare without a functional kitchen. Not everybody on SNAP is a 300# nigger with electricity and a house paid by sec8. Just get the 300# niggers off snap.

@BamaSaltyMarine Its craven bullshit that when I was poor as hell and didnt have electricity, I could buy unlimited prepared frozen food, tv dinners, pizza, soda etc then walk 2 miles to the nearest microwave but i couldnt get a hot 2 piece with beans and carrots for 6.99 right there at the deli.

@BamaSaltyMarine Why do people salivate over making the poor and infirm suffer for zero benefit to society? SNAP eligible foods needs to be expanded if anything, specifically hot, nutritional food. Get rid of generational dependence instead of making it unusable for people without a kitchen.

I get sick of people bitching about boomer this and boomer that. 1. Myself, I'm barely even a boomer. Some call us generation Jones. (Look it up) 2. We bought our house in 1992 for $68k. It had been on the market for awhile because it was very dated. We worked to fix it up and have continued to work on it with updates and fixes etc. 3. I'm 65 years old and still working full time. 4. For some reason almost all of my nieces nephews plus even a lot of the great nieces and nephews etc who aren't boomers have way nicer houses than I do.
