- Anyone who presses the red button lives no matter what.
- Anyone who presses the blue button dies, unless > 50% of people also press the blue button.
then it's clear that pressing the blue button is dumb.

It is then more about fooling players into believing they're being rewarded than actually rewarding them

@Doc_179 @Yaniversety Content is the bare minimum. If their service is so great, why does the "autopilot" competition make double the profit? An anniversary is a retention tool, not a bribe. Ignoring loyalty is how you lose to games that do both.

In all honesty, rewarding players during an anniversary should be expected. It is how a game shows appreciation to the people who have invested their time and love into it.
This is not about being entitled or begging for rewards. It is about showing that you actually care about the players who stuck with the game despite all the hurdles and negativity.
When an anniversary ends up feeling more like the company promoting itself, with ads, spending events, and things players do not really care about, it honestly feels like a bit of a slap in the face.
We already know that once we leave Lahai Roi, those purchased bike skins will not carry over. So instead of meaningful rewards like character skins, we are getting more bike skins, which feels like a really strange direction for the game.
Lately, I am not a fan of where things are heading. Features like the sub-stat changer or the weekly subscription just add to that concern.
That is my take. I would like to hear your side too, Marco. I am open to the discussion.

I have a genuine question. Why do people expect to be rewarded or gifted for playing a game? This phenomenon still throws me off. I have never played a game before that gave me a gift for playing it. Especially when I didn't pay for something. It's something I think I've only seen in the gacha games circuit. Again, genuinely asking. Like I play a LOT of games that are live service/MMO/f2p and I don't really see that in any other game unless I'm forgetting something.

@iRukenu @Yaniversety Giving pulls or free characters is much more autopilot than creating gorgeous maps, compelling narrative or satisfying combat imo. It's essentially throwing money at players so they shut up about problems and keep playing. This expectation is misplaced I think.

@Doc_179 how about we dont use tier lists bc floor, ceiling, investment, flexibiliy, skill lvl, endgame shill, enemy mechanics all play a role and a chars strength can increase/drop based on those factors, all it can provide is a very rough indicate of strength against neutral ground
