That’s crazy, because down here in Florida Dominicans and Cubans get away with the same thing. It’s gotten so bad that some jobs are starting to require you to learn multiple languages because they don’t want to fully learn English. Meanwhile, Haitians here are basically forced to learn English or they won’t get any help… it’s really unfair.

No actually it’s a revelation to how Hispanic people especially in NY can get away without having to assimilate language wise while Africans, West Indians etc have to in order to survive. A Dominican can live in New York for damn near a decade and still only know minimal English.
