🎉 📚 GREAT NEWS ➗ 🎉 Senate Bill 37: High-Quality Literacy Instruction Act, and Senate Bill 29: Math Requirements for Teaching License, have officially passed the New Mexico Legislature and are headed to the Governor’s desk.

Senate Bill 37 passed the NM Senate unanimously—now it needs YOUR help to cross the finish line. The bill is on the schedule in the House today. This bill ensures schools use proven reading instruction based on the science of reading. It screens kids K-3 for reading struggles and requires that parents get a progress report within 30 days if their child needs additional help. Structured literacy works for every child—English learners, Native speakers, all kids. Less than a week left in session. Call your legislators TODAY and ask them to support SB 37.
