New group paper in Electrochemical Science Advances. Here we studied the electrochemical kinetics of methanol and ethanol oxidation using Pt supported on Si-doped Niobium suboxide (Pt/NbOS), which has enhanced activity over Pt/C. See our OA paper here: doi.org/10.1002/elsa.2…

New group paper in Electrochimca Acta: authors.elsevier.com/a/1g8it33-eRbAy Here we report TiO2 doped with Ni and Cu (TONC). Beside having good conductivity, the PGM-free TONC material is also a highly active and durable electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction for #fuelcells #Ptfree

Congratulation to our undergraduate thesis student Vittoria Di-Palo (co-supervised by @zenkina_lab and @EastonLab for winning the oral lecture award from CIC Materials Division at the 53rd Inorganic Discussion Weekend Conference. Great job! #IDW was a blast!

Our latest collaboration paper with the @zenkina_lab is now out in @ACS_AMI. Here we use an enhanced surface area counter electrode to prevent CE/electrolyte degradation. This enabled us to learn about the much slower degradation process happening at the electrochromic🌈 WE.

Excited to announce that my thesis won an award @ontariotech_u 😭💛 I received the W. R. Smith PhD thesis award 🥺 writing it was the hardest thing I’ve had to do (so far). I’m so glad other people liked it too 😂 🥂
