In the aftermath of a senseless tragedy I’m proud to stand with the @MorganStateU family. Our HBCU’s are the soul of our city. Students should not have to fear for their safety in a cafeteria. We need justice and healing. Proud of @Ed2BeFree @taradolby and the other Alumnae that pulled us together for a solidarity March today. #MorganStrong

@Ed2BeFree YES!!! So many folks trained by horrible leaders just become copies of them and perpetuate the toxicity.

We need a support group for Black educators who've been told to "play the game" and were then ruined by the bigger systems of politics in K-12 education. Because, I know way too many talented people who have been lost due to one person's ego. And our kids deserve better.

@rolandsmartin This has been an issue post George Floyd we need to tend to. Enrollment at HBCUs already exploded prior to this decision.

HBCUs presently are scrambling to meet higher demand. They don’t have the infrastructure. They are 237K HBCU students; 20% are non-Black. There are 1.6M Black students at PWIs. If 10% of those students opted for an HBCU, they cannot handle it. They need $$$ for dorms, etc.
Dawn@_dawnmontgomery

Soooooo how will HBCUs accommodate the GREAT RISE of enrollment because of this SCOTUS decision? Keep your responses nice & cute because my block finger is heavy

@abbydphillip The question for Kenny is whether the standards for legacy and donor based applicants be the same as everyone else.

Q: should colleges consider socio-economic status, when deciding who to admit? Kenny Xu: the reason why you shouldn’t consider that is because you should consider the success of an applicant. Because of AA, black Americans graduate in the bottom, 25% of their law school classes

Elections matter. Voting matters. There’s a reason HBCU enrollment is exploding while others sharply decline.
