At the 10th Annual Invisible Wounds Mental Wellness Conference for First Responders and Clinicians October 6-7, 2025 in Niagara Falls, Canada, Nicolas Stone, the audio video technician for the event for the past few years, was moved to write a song that was played for the delegates, resulting in a standing ovation.
Nic has given Invisible Wounds permission to share this song publicly on our social media channels. We are very grateful to Nic, who has provided the following description of the song:
STILL THEY RUN
This song was written in tribute to all first responders - police, fire fighters, 911 dispatch operators, ER doctors and nurses, military, paramedics, ambulance drivers - any and all those who answer the call.
The purpose of the song is to bring awareness to the silent, invisible wounds that many first responders experience in life because of what they do.
While we all see them as heroes - we never think of what they experience and how it can affect them when the emergency is over!
To all our heroes - this is for you!
