We lost a champion. A good man. J.L. Lewis played 626 pro golf tournaments 1990 to 2012. He bravely battled cancer for last 9 yrs. Godspeed old friend. Save us some chairs at the 19th hole.

Free State pitcher Tatum Clopton has been named the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year. Clopton is the first player from FSHS softball to receive this honor in 34 years.

Special thanks to Seniors Landon Berquist and Dylan Sommer for all they've done for Free State golf over the last four years. Landon finishes a four-time state qualifier with three individual top 20s at State. Dylan ends his career a three-time state qualifier. Appreciate you.

Congratulations to the team on its 8th place finish at 6A State yesterday - just one stroke from 6th but that's golf for you. Individually, Andrew Park tied for 7th (awarded 9th place medal based on scorecard playoff) and Landon Berquist tied for 15th. Well done guys!

We managed to complete six to eight holes depending on the player yesterday. No schedule set for resumption of play. Had some guys playing really well yesterday, and others prepared to get their rounds going. Will update here as soon as KSHSAA makes a decision.
