True, but giving one man that much power usually leads to tyranny. See Venezuela. Medellín accomplished the same miraculous transformation without playing the leadership Lottery or the iron fist. They focused on giving the poor opportunities. Hong Kong became a safe, economic powerhouse through positive non-interventionism--just get out of the way. It worked in El Salvador, but there are less risky ways to reach the same result.

Bukele made a bet that security is the foundation layer. That everything, GDP, tourism, foreign investment, diaspora return, builds on top of safety. The numbers say he was right. The method will be debated for decades. In 2015, El Salvador had a murder rate of 106.3 per 100,000. The literal murder capital of the world. Six years of failed truces, 16 killings per day, entire neighborhoods paying monthly extortion to MS-13 just to keep their doors open. Today the murder rate is 1.9 per 100,000. That's a 98% drop. In 2025 it fell further to 1.36. In 2026 so far, the country is on pace for 0.22 homicides per day. El Salvador is now safer than the United States, Canada, and most of Western Europe. The second-order effects are where the real story lives. Tourism went from 1.7 million visitors in 2019 to 3.9 million in 2024 to over 4 million in 2025. Tourism's share of GDP doubled from 6.4% to 14% in five years. A guy whose father was killed by gang members over $200/month extortion demands left the country in 2014, came back in 2024, and opened an Airbnb. 85,000 arrests. 80,000+ gang members detained. The world's highest incarceration rate at 1,086 per 100,000. A 40,000-capacity mega-prison with plans to double it to 80,000. 94% approval rating. Re-elected with 85% of the vote while the constitution previously banned consecutive terms. The tradeoff is real and it's worth stating clearly: suspended due process, mass detention, documented cases of torture and abuse, zero transparency, dismantled judicial independence, no free press access. Every human rights organization on earth has flagged it. The constitutional court that allowed his re-election was packed with his own appointees. And his approval rating went up. Murder capital of the world to safer than the United States in seven years. 106 per 100,000 to 1.9. Tourism doubled. GDP contribution tripled. The JW Marriott is breaking ground in a city where taxi drivers wouldn't cross certain blocks a decade ago.

President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele releases video showing the transformation of his country. Since Bukele took office: - Homicides plunged from 2,398 in 2019 to just 114 homicides in 2024. - Murder rate is now 1.9 per 100,000 people, a historic low. - In 2022, Bukele declared a state of exception and made over 85,000 arrests. “Everything in life has a cost and the cost of being called authoritarian is too small to bother me much,” he once said.

I was about to publish a video with updated findings. But there was still one gap. East and Southern Africa were hiv free in 1981. By 1985 1/3 of Zambians were infected. I finally was able to find the very first HIV+ samples collected in the region. They were genetically sequenced and reveal what happened. But they were excluded from analysis in all the official narratives, which argue HIV spread from the Congo east and south. It didn't. I'm rewriting now and will try to get this finished ASAP.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. You refused to state the date the CDC first used the term AIDS, because it was on September 3, 1982, in a bulletin stating AIDS was caused by plasmapheresis or the blood products made from them. Sex wasn't even suspected, because all early AIDS cases at that point had been subjected to plasmapheresis. Every single case among Haitians was in the "boat people" who arrived in Florida as refugees and were screened on arrival for antigens to harvest by plasmapheresis. The Sept 3 bulletin identified the blind-spot in these products since they were all made with chimpanzees, based on the assumption that chimps couldn't harbor harmful viruses. Soon, remains of the very 1969 chimp used to harvest antibodies/antigens tested positive, and the NY heroin users who received them were confirmed to have had AIDS by 1973. At that point, the entire global scientific community started pretending the original Sept 3, 1982 bulletin never existed, spreading the demonstrably false lie that you just repeated--that AIDS was introduced on Sept 24 as a sexually transmissible disease. I loaded all the 1982 Symposium transcripts and papers into this public ChatGPT session you can resume to interrogate them and verify the AI summary. As of 1982, the global scientific community was unanimous: AIDS was caused by plasmapheresis and the products made from them. Fauci stood alone in blaming the victims. chatgpt.com/share/68419a40…

Would you look at that! Even the CDC quietly acknowledges that the bumper-sticker claim “vaccines don’t cause autism” isn’t grounded in actual evidence. “ ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.”

You left out that the authors’ FOIA’d emails showed they kept finding a correlation between mercury and autism no matter how they tweaked the data — until the final version conveniently found nothing. It’s the same story as the Proximal Origin Slack messages calling a lab leak “so friggin likely,” while their published paper declared it “impossible.” People treat the final studies as gospel, ignoring the private messages showing even the authors didn’t believe them.

@IanCopeland5 @PLOSBiology @PLOS @DrAndyWakefield Not true. Hilleman, the inventor of the MMR vaccine, expressed the concern on 1990. Years before Wakefield. This CDC study found a 7.6x elevated risk. Later the CDC said it was preliminary and reversed. Wakefield's study came out during the controversy in 1998.

Im glad @PLOSBiology @PLOS put this out. Vaccines DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM. There has never been evidence that they did. The entire movement is based on a lie propagated by @DrAndyWakefield, a former physician who was found to have engaged in misconduct and research fraud...

@DrNeilStone We all agree *something* is causing it. But every time a biochemical mechanism is proposed you insist that couldn't possibly be the cause. So, what do you think the actual cause of autism is? Aliens? Witchcraft?

This study is worth reading because it illustrates how vaccine evaluations are structured. Earlier research showed COVID vaccines offered protection for about six months, after which effectiveness went negative, so this study stops its analysis right at that six-month mark. Previous studies also found that while COVID deaths declined in vaccinated people during those six months, deaths from other causes—like myocarditis—increased. If overall hospitalization and death rates were lower in the vaccinated group, this study would have highlighted that as a major finding. Instead, it excluded non-COVID outcomes altogether, suggesting these scientists similarly observed higher all cause mortality among the vaccinated. Because earlier evidence showed natural immunity was stronger, the study removed people who had recently recovered from COVID, ensuring the comparison was only against much older immunity. And since the flu vaccine that year performed poorly and even showed negative protection, the authors avoided comparing against the unvaccinated; they used flu-vaccinated individuals as the baseline instead. In the end, the study doesn’t claim anything even vaccine skeptics haven’t already acknowledged. The value in reading it is seeing how, even if critics are correct that the COVID vaccine is harmful, researchers tied to pharmaceutical interests can design a study that still promotes it. Thank you for drawing our attention to it.

@DrNeilStone If a parent is already unsure about vaccinating, their child has a 50/50 chance of getting the vaccine. In a placebo-controlled trial, they volunteer knowing that their uncertainty settles safety and effectiveness for others. That's heroic and ethical.
