@HabsOnReddit HUGE and GUTSY win. Shots dont 100% represent the game, both teams had good moments. Dobes GREAT, Caufield scores again, demi showed some great skills. Most results tonight were favorable for the habs’ playoff race, huge 2 points against the 3rd place team in the league

@HabsOnReddit Much better than the 1st Keep shooting, goaltending is the weakest part of their team Just like Saturday, leading 3-2 heading into the 3rd. Again, please dont let this one slide. Canes are gonna push and they’re the obviously a great team

@HabsOnReddit We didn’t come to play. Disconnected, lacking confidence/focus. I wouldn’t look too much into their sog because all they do is shoot but WE haven’t been shooting nearly enough. Played better as the period went on Another goal against right after a ref mistake. Happens too often.

Seeing a lot of complaints but nobody is acknowledging the real issue people have. SBMM is the most balanced it’s ever been, people are getting paired with those on their skill level and losing a majority of games for the first time in years.
Quantum Camper@QuantumCamper

Have you stopped playing Fortnite as much due to the persistent skill based match making issue? Have you completely stopped playing specifically because of SBMM? Please be respectful and don't lash out at Fortnite, Epic Games or any players or staff with your comment. I want to have a real discussion and hear real constructive feedback @Fortnite @FortniteStatus @JustTeddii PLEASE we need you to respond to the overwhelming outcry from the community about SBMM. It has felt non-existent since the bug season in chapter 6. It felt perfect in Chapter 5. What happened? A LOT of people are playing less or have given up the game completely because they will literally go hundreds of games without being able to get a victory. We the common player want a challenge but also we want to feel like we have a chance. Yes this is a skill issue. I am not good enough to be in the vast majority of lobbies I am put in with Fortnite. I love this game and it breaks my heart to see people leave because of something that could be easily fixed. I look forward to hearing your response.

@HabsOnReddit We were the better team but I feel like we’ve been snake bitten ever since the Olympic break Have been struggling to score at 5on5 lately Bad period for Fowler, great shot and a breakaway so it’s not all on him but 2 goals on 5-6 shots isn’t good enough Bad penalty by guhle

@Lappy14 @TP0944 Expecting them to be a sure shot playoff team while being in the eastern conference is a lot. We’re ahead of all the teams that were rebuilding at the same time as us and we’re competing with teams that have been rebuilding for twice as long as us (det/ott/buf)

Habs coach Marty St. Louis tonight on Mike Matheson’s turnover leading to the game-winning goal by the Wings: “It was a bad bounce. Whatever. We were in control. It hurts because we played a good game. We’re gonna pick ourselves back up, that’s all.”

Here are my three takeaways from tonight’s 3-1 Montreal Canadiens loss to the Detroit Red Wings, brought to you by Snap Bar Sportif in Rigaud. 1 – Tough break for Matheson It was a tough way to lose a low-event game, especially after holding a lead heading into the third period. Unfortunately, the tying goal came from something that’s plagued the Canadiens all season, their inability to get in shooting lanes on point shots, combined with a forward standing unchecked in front of the net (this time, Noah Dobson was the culprit). Then on the game-winner, it was simply a bit of bad luck. Mike Matheson fumbled a bouncing puck and fell, giving Alex DeBrincat a clear path to the net. Matheson’s critics have been quieter this season, but I’m sure some will try to pin this loss entirely on him. In reality, it was just an unfortunate sequence. 2 – Slaf playing big It’s no coincidence that as the games tighten up, Juraj Slafkovsky continues to shine. This is exactly why GM Kent Hughes and president of hockey operations Jeff Gorton used the first overall pick on the big Slovak forward. At this time of year, every inch of ice is contested, and Slafkovsky is built for it. His combination of size, puck protection, forechecking ability, and playmaking in tight areas makes him a real factor. He scored a big goal in the second period tonight and continues to show he’s coming into his own. 3 – Dobes’ fire Jakub Dobes’ style can sometimes look a little chaotic, like an unmade bed and it might not be for everyone. But he’s keeping the puck out of the net, and that’s what matters most. What really stands out is his compete level. He plays with passion and intensity, and while at times the lows can seem to affect him, that fire is also what makes him effective. He doesn’t back down from traffic around his crease and isn’t afraid to get involved physically. We saw it again tonight when Andrew Copp got into it with him, and it’s something we’ve seen before, including last year against the Washington Capitals in the playoffs. That edge can be contagious and pull teammates into the fight. @tsn690

@samtravels99 @HFTVSports Yeah I agree they really struggle to burry their opponents/close out games. But they’re a very young team and I’m sure they’ll figure that out soon enough. I just dont think our bad stretch is as ‘’meaningful’’ as let’s say the rangers, we very very well couldve been .750 instead

Well that’s the thing tho, it seems like the Habs can’t find that extra edge that gets them the win when games get tough. It’s been the same in the playoffs against Washington last year. They played great, most games ended by 1 goal and then maybe an empty netter. But the fact that we’re still there is quite concerning to me.

Listen, I REALLY hope this is not the picture that haunts us for the next few months, but in a big 4 point game, this can’t happen. And if you think about it, the problem even starts earlier with Dobson pinching. Thought the Canadiens played well for large parts of that game, took control in the 1st, but in a game of such tight margins, you can’t afford to lose off dumb mistakes like this. Even the first goal, not a great play selection by Newhook. We’ve lost so many games because of defensive mistakes, this needs to be dealt with before the end of the season. Must win Saturday.

@samtravels99 @HFTVSports Matter of fact, we haven’t lost a game by more than one goal in a FAT while. Last time was possibly when we lost 4-0 to the wings on jan 10th (cant remember if buffalo got empty netters on jan 15th and 22nd)
