Throwback Thursday feature: Looking back to Thursday, October 30th, when 20 band, choir, and orchestra students represented Yorktown at the 2025 Area All-State Festival at SUNY Purchase! Bravo to the YHS students who represented the school and congratulations for this showcase!

We have a great year of music education ahead, led by the district’s incredible teachers, from elementary school on up to high school! A round of applause for these talented educators! We can’t wait for the concerts that will showcase everything our children learn! 🎶

What better way to usher in a new school year than coming together at West Point for an evening of music and fireworks? Members of the YHS Band, along with their families, gathered with Ms. Kluga and her family for a spectacular show on the legendary grounds of the USMA.

YHS musical artists gathered for a band retreat, and then came together with the YHS Choir and Orchestra for an ice cream social! It was a sweet start to the year, as talented artists gathered for poster-making, icebreaker games, kickball, and of course, tons of ice cream!

8th Grade Graduation day! We have started new traditions in 2025. For the very first time in First Nighter history, we have presented awards to two Mildred E. Strang Middle School students in each music group! Congratulations to all of the 8th graders and their families today!!

The MESMS Class of 2025 is now the YHS Class of 2029! Congratulations to today's graduates! A gallery with more photos will be shared later in the week.

Crompond School Moving Up Day! Mrs. Rossana Federico and Mrs. Juliet Jacobs presented for the first time in history First Nighter awards to two students in each music group! It was an extremely special moment! Congratulations to the 5th grade class of 2025.
