The thing with Madonna being the “queen of pop”… it’s not something she’s called as a nickname or a term of endearment or even a compliment… it’s that pop music is something in which she has completely paved the way for EVERYONE, and of which she is now the overseer.

Re: momentum—Upon trying to sequence it, I realized the album feels like three different Beyoncés in one: 1. the hitmaker outside of Destiny’s Child 2. the Black legacy vocalist & 3. the woman. The album is sequenced so the industry can read her long term success from the start
